Golden Angel| Halloween Countdown #4

For this look you will need:

  • Base makeup
  • Bronzer
  •  Highlighter
  • Gold eyeliner
  • Three shades of gold eyeshadow
  • Mascara
  • Nude/pink lipgloss
  • Hair bobbins
  • Hairpins and bobby pins
Hair

  • Using the tops of your ears as a guide, divide your hair into two sections, like so...

  • Tie to bottom section in a ponytail to keep it out of the way for the moment
  • Pull all the hair it the top section over to one side

  • Take a small section from one side, just above one ear

  • Divide it into three and start plaiting, adding in pieces of hair from each side as you go

  • Continue across the top of your head until you run out of hair

  • Take the bottom section out of its ponytail and using it, continue the plait around the bottom of your head. You might have to switch hands a couple of times.

  • When you've run out of hair to add in, continue plaiting to the end of the hair, like so...

  • Bring the end of the plait around, and pin it behind/underneath the top part of the plait. This is the finished look, from a variety of angles :)
Makeup
  • Apply your base makeup

  • Apply some bronzer to your cheekbones

  • On top of that, apply your highlighter

  • Also apply some highlighter to your temples, down your nose, your cupids bows, basically just create a really glowy look

  • Using the gold eyeliner, line your upper eyelid and continue the line out horizontally
  • From the end of this line, draw a semi-circle shape back to the inner corner of your eye

  • Divide the semi-circle into sections, gradually getting smaller from the inside out. If you need to, you can round them out a bit, to create more of a wing-like effect

  • Use the lightest shade of gold eyeshadow to fill in your shape

  • Apply the darkest shade of eyeshadow on the outer part of your wing design, then use the middle shade to blend the light and dark together. I also went over my outline with a darker eyeliner as it wasn't showing up as clearly as I wanted it to

  • Apply your mascara...

  • And here is the finished eye look...

  • Finally, apply your lipgloss...

  • And that's it!

Vampire Look |Halloween Countdown #3

*Apologies for the shadowy lighting in this one, it's started getting dark at like four o'clock. It sort of adds to the mood? Anyway...

For this look you will need
  • Base makeup (foundation, concealer, powder)
  • Highlighter
  • Black and gold eyeshadow
  • Black eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Brown lipliner
  • Dark red lipstick
  • A hair straightener
Hair
  • All you need to do for this look is straighten your hair.
Makeup

  • Apply your base makeup
  • Apply the black eyeshadow under your cheekbones, using it to contour. It's not really showing up on camera, but it actually looks very dramatic.

  • Apply some highlighter above the eyeshadow and blend it out.

  • Using your black eyeshadow and an angled brush (or eyeliner, it doesn't really matter) draw a vertical line from the inner corner of your eye up to the top of your eyelid.

  • Draw a horizontal line across the top of your eyelid, then draw a diagonal line into the outer corner of your eye, like so.

  • Using black eyeshadow, fill in the outline that you've just created

  • Apply the gold eyeshadow over the black

  • Apply some black eyeshadow underneath your eye and line your waterline. Apply a liberal amount of mascara, and that is the eyes finished

  • Apply your lipliner all over your lips. I'm using a brown one a) because it's the only one I have and b) it makes the lipstick look extra dark and vampy (if you'll excuse the pun)

  • Apply said lipstick over the lipliner, and that is the completed look :)

Green Fairy |Halloween Countdown #2

For this look you will need:

  • Base makeup (concealer, foundation, powder)
  • Highlighter
  • Light and dark green eyeshadow
  • Green eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Red lipstick
  • Hair bobbins
  • A heck of a lot of bobby pins and hairpins
Hair

  • Use your ear as a guide to section off the two front pieces of your hair, like so. Tie the back section into a ponytail for the moment.

  • Brush all your hair back to get rid of your parting, and gather all the front into one section

  • Starting at the bottom of one side, take a small section of hair. Twist it tightly and continue until the twisted section will reach the back of your head, and secure with a bobby pin. Or two.

  • Continue sectioning and twisting your hair until the entire front section is pulled back. The finished product should look something like this...

  • And this....(you will sort of look  like you've escaped from the set of Lord of the Rings)

  • Gather all your hair, including the ends of the twisted section into one mid-ponytail

  • Grab sections of your ponytail (I had four, but you can do however many you want) twist the hair tightly, then pin it down using hairpins and bobby pins. It doesn't have to be particularly neat. In the end, mine looked like this...

  • And that's it.
Makeup
  • Apply your base

  • Apply your dark green eyeshadow to your cheekbones. While we're here, let's just address that piece of hair that's sticking out, because it ain't going away

  • Apply your highlighter directly on top of the green eyeshadow. Once again, don't be afraid to use a lot of it. It's Halloween after all, there's no room for subtlety.

  • Blend it in...

  • Use your green eyeliner to line your upper lashline. Continue the line out from the outer corner of your eye. It should be almost completely straight.

  • Draw another line back towards your eye, so that you have a triangular shape, and fill it in. You can also thicken the line along your lashline to match.

  • It should look something like this...

  • Apply your light green eyeshadow all over the lid, taking it out to wear your eyeliner line ends.

  • Use your eyeliner to line your lower lashline and water line

  • Add mascara...

  • Andd lipstick...

  • And this is the finished product...

See you all tomorrow!
