Hi everyone,
Sorry that my posts have been a bit scarce lately, I've just been really busy. To make it up to you, every day for the next five days I'm going to be posting Halloween themed tutorials, starting with this cat look;
For this look you will need:
Whatever base makeup you use (foundation, concealer, etc.)
A dark grey eye shadow
A shimmery grey eye shadow
Black eye shadow
Black liquid eyeliner
Black pencil eyeliner
Mascara
Nude/Pink lipstick
Hair bobbins
Bobby pins
Hair
(inspired by Zoella's recent blog post, which can be found at Zoella.blogspot.com)
- Divide your hair into sections. For the first part you'll need the front bit of your hair, to about where your ear is. You can tie the rest it back to keep it out of the way for the moment.
- Take three pieces of hair from the top of your head; one from the back, one from the middle, one from the front. The section from the front should be from further down, above your eye.
- Start plaiting, adding sections of hair as you go, until there's none left. Then continue the plait and tie it with a bobbin.
- Put the remainder of your hair into a ponytail in the middle of your head. Pin your plait down under the ponytail with bobby pins.
- Using bobby pins, grab sections of your ponytail and pin them down, the messier the better! If you want to plait some sections before you pin them down, you can do that too.
- Continue until your whole ponytail is pinned up. The finished product should look something like this:
Makeup
- Apply whatever base makeup you normally use, if any. For me that's foundation, concealer and powder. You can also apply some blusher or bronzer.
- The main part of this look is the eye makeup. To begin, put the grey eye shadow all over the lid. You want to apply quite a lot of it, for a very dramatic eye.
- Now, using the black eye shadow, reline the area above your lash line. To do the wing, I think it's easiest to close your eye and continue the line that you've done on your eyelid, then make it into a proper wing afterward.
Finally, use a black eye pencil to draw yourself a nose and whiskers
