The Comeback/ Get Ready With Me| 13/5/15

Hi everyone,
Long time no see. It's been a while since I've posted on here, basically because a lot of things just happened to me all at once; I was sick then busy, and sick while busy, etc., etc. and blogging just fell by the wayside a bit. But I've re-emerged from under a pile of essays now and will (hopefully) be back to posting regularly in the next few months.
I was going to just do a Makeup of the Day for my first post, but then thought it'd be interesting to try to show you me actually putting on my makeup, show you what I'm using, etc. So this is my first ever get ready with me post.

I usually start by applying my concealer over any spots I might have, and dotting it under my eyes. I'm aware how weird this might look. Then I pat it in. I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (the writing has rubbed off mine) in Number 1, which is actually slightly too pale for me, hence why I apply in under, rather than over my foundation.

Next I apply my foundation, which I apply with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, which you will probably be seeing in a haul or a Favourites post soon, because it's very good. I've reverted to my old favourite Wake Me Up foundation after running out of the Rimmel Match Perfection. I'm not sure which I prefer. Possibly Wake Me Up, just because it just gives that bit more coverage. Match Perfection definitely matches my skin better though, even though the two were supposedly the same shade.

Next I apply my Maybelline the Matte Maker Powder. Unfortunately since my last post I've dropped it (I'm honestly surprised its lasted this long, I drop everything) and lost a significant amount of powder.

Seeing as its summer (sort of) I thought I'd opt for bronzer instead of blusher. I used the Collection Shimmer shades (the top right hand colour) which, as you can tell from the picture, has also been dropped.

Next I filled in my eyebrows with the Soap and Glory Archery pencil. It's been in my makeup bag for awhile, so the writing is starting to smudge off. I don't want to say too much about this particular item because I think it's going to be a separate post.

For eyeshadow I'm using the Collection  Eyes Uncovered nude palette. I'd heard a lot about this on YouTube and various blogs. I do like it a lot, the quality of the eyeshadows is great, but I find that they don't last as long on me as my MUA eyeshadows do. I used the third shade from the left all over the lid.

I then applied a darker brown shade (second from the right) into the crease.

Next I used my Essence Liquid Ink eyeliner, which I've mentioned before in Favourites posts. It's great, its really long-lasting and its €2.89! I still can't flick my eyeliner though.

For mascara I used the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Mascara, which was also in my makeup bag and that's why its grubby. I'm going to do a full review of this at some point, but at the moment the jury is very much still out.

For lipstick (my favourite) I used a recent addition to my collection, MAC's All Fired Up. I might do a full review actually, because I'm so in love with it (would you be interested in that? Or will you be sick of reviews at that point?) so I will just say that its been difficult for me not to run out and buy the whole Retro Matte collection.

Tah dah! And that's it.
